About Us
Hutton & Cameron Contractors was established in 1985 as a Civil Contracting Company. In November 2000 the company was purchased by Peter & Robyn Donovan and has continued to operate as Hutton & Cameron. Since this time the company has continued to expand its civil contracting work.
Hutton & Cameron have operated depots in both Hawkes Bay and Auckland enabling the completion of large sized projects, and have travelled staff, fleet, machinery & plant around the North and South islands to complete short term projects.
The Company recognises the importance of technical expertise and has included within its team of 20, personnel capable of successfully completing all projects assigned to them with total professionalism. Hutton & Cameron are a Level 3 (High Risk) approved contractor for the Whangarei District Council and are also SiteWise certified.
The Hutton & Cameron team has extensive experience in earthworks, scour protection and maintenance works, house sites and subdivision works.
Given the direction and emphasis of the industry, Hutton & Cameron have identified the need to expand and invest in the continued growth of the company. Environmental Restoration
The Farming community are faced with deadliness to protect and fence off water ways. This is where Hutton and Cameron comes to the fore solving all types of environment situations: scour protection work for local government, abutment protection for bridges and culvert outlets that lead into rivers. Temporary silt/sediment collection measures are put in place to protect river ways and creeks. Local government entities appreciate outside-of-the-box environmental practices, even for small jobs where the environment can be affected. Local government consent processes are followed to ensure the right outcome for all parties.
COVID Protection Framework Update
To all our valued customers vaccinated and unvaccinated. With the move to the traffic light system from Friday 3rd December will see a slight change to the way we operate under the Covid-19 Protection Framework (CPF).
Hutton & Cameron Contractors have reviewed the CPF guidelines and have mandated vaccinations due to some of our works carried out within high-risk environments such as education and age care facilities. In line with this we have implemented a vaccination certificate requirement for all clients/customers and staff entry to our offices.
As from 3rd December 2021 we have adopted the following polices at RED:
• All clients/customers to our office must use the COVID tracking system Scan the QR code or use the Sign-In Register in the reception area.
• My Vaccine Pass is required to enter the office.
My Vaccine Pass will be sighted, scanned and saved by staff for our records when clients/visitors enter the business premises.
• Wear a face covering or show appropriate exemption.
• Keep a 1-metre distance from others.
• If you have a cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and get a test.
To our valued unvaccinated customers who would like firewood, please call the office on 09 435 6159 or email admin@donovandrainage.co.nz to arrange contactless delivery. Unfortunately, under this system you will not be able to collect firewood from our yard and we do sincerely apologies.
